1. TERMS OF SERVICE

1. OVERVIEW
This website is operated by Slice Society Australia (ABN 156 725 279 18) (“Slice Society”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website or purchasing products or services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), together with any policies referred to in them, including our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or purchase from us. We reserve the right to update or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. Shopify provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTANCE
You represent and warrant that:
  • You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your place of residence; and
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you warrant that you are authorised to bind that business.

3. ONLINE STORE TERMS
You must not use our products or website for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose, or in violation of any applicable law or regulation. You must not introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you breach these Terms.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, to the extent permitted by law. Your content (excluding payment information) may be transferred unencrypted across networks. Payment information is encrypted during transmission. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell or exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

5. PRODUCTS – FOOD ITEMS
5.1 Nature of Products
We sell dehydrated fruit products. While we take reasonable care in preparation, packaging and handling, you acknowledge that:
  • Natural variations in colour, texture, flavour and size may occur;
  • Products are made from agricultural produce and may contain natural imperfections.
5.2 Ingredients & Allergens
Our products may be processed in facilities that also handle other foods. We do not guarantee the absence of allergens. It is your responsibility to ensure products are suitable for your dietary requirements, allergies or medical conditions.
5.3 Storage & Consumption
Once delivered, proper storage and consumption of products is your responsibility. We are not liable for spoilage or degradation caused by improper storage or handling after delivery.

6. PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products at any time. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

7. B2B CUSTOMERS
If you purchase for resale, catering, hospitality or commercial use:
  • You acknowledge products are supplied for business purposes;
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, consumer guarantees under the ACL do not apply where goods are not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use.
8. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
We do not warrant that website content is accurate, complete or current. Information is provided for general purposes only and should not be relied upon without independent verification.

9. ORDERS, BILLING AND PAYMENTS
We may refuse, limit or cancel any order in our discretion. You agree to provide accurate and complete billing and account information. We may cancel orders where pricing or product information contains errors.

10. RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND LINKS
We provide access to third-party tools and links “as is” without warranties. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services or content.

12. USER SUBMISSIONS
You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use any content or feedback you submit. You warrant that your submissions do not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.

13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property in the website, branding, content and products remains our property or that of our licensors. No licence is granted except as necessary to use the website in accordance with these Terms.

14. PROHIBITED USES
You must not use the website or products for unlawful, harmful, misleading or infringing purposes. We may terminate access for prohibited use.

15. DISCLAIMER – AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, where goods or services are supplied and a statutory guarantee applies, our liability is limited (at our option) to:
  • Replacement of the goods;
  • Supply of equivalent goods; or
  • Payment of the cost of replacement or resupply.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
  • All products and services are provided “as is” and “as available”;
  • We exclude all implied warranties and conditions.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or economic loss, including loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

17. PROPORTIONATE LIABILITY
Our liability is reduced proportionately to the extent that any loss or damage was caused or contributed to by you or any third party (including couriers, payment processors or platform providers).

18. INDEMNITY
You indemnify and hold harmless Slice Society Australia, its directors, officers, shareholders and employees from any claim arising from:
  • Your breach of these Terms;
  • Your misuse of products;
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights.
19. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supply chain disruptions, natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or failures of third-party systems.

20. TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend access immediately for breach. Clauses relating to liability, indemnity, intellectual property, governing law and payments survive termination.

21. NO PARTNERSHIP OR AGENCY
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship.

22. ASSIGNMENT
We may assign or transfer our rights under these Terms without notice. You may not assign without our written consent.

23. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

24. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede all prior communications.

This statement applies to all food products sold by Slice Society Australia (ABN 156 725 279 18) (“Slice Society”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

1. FOOD PRODUCTS
Slice Society produces and sells dehydrated fruit products, including but not limited to apples, pears, pineapple, oranges, lemons, limes, grapefruit and blood oranges.
As our products are derived from natural agricultural produce:
  • Natural variations in colour, flavour, texture and size may occur
  • Products may contain seeds, pips or naturally occurring plant matter
These variations are not defects.

2. ALLERGEN INFORMATION
While our products may not intentionally contain common allergens, they may be:
  • Processed or packed in facilities that handle other food products
  • Exposed to shared equipment or environments
We do not guarantee the absence of allergens.
Customers with allergies, intolerances or dietary restrictions should exercise caution and consult a medical professional before consumption.

3. STORAGE AND HANDLING
Once delivered, responsibility for proper storage and handling passes to the customer.
You must:
  • Store products in accordance with instructions provided
  • Protect products from moisture, heat and contamination
We are not responsible for spoilage, degradation or contamination resulting from improper storage or handling after delivery.

4. USE AND CONSUMPTION
Our products are intended for human consumption only, unless otherwise stated.
We are not responsible for misuse, repurposing or consumption in a manner inconsistent with common food use or provided instructions.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
  • Consumption of our products is at your own risk
  • We are not liable for adverse reactions, illness or injury arising from:
    • Undisclosed allergies
    • Improper storage or handling
    • Use contrary to provided information
Nothing in this statement limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
If you purchase our products for resale, catering, hospitality or commercial use, you are responsible for:
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable food safety laws
  • Providing accurate allergen and product information to end consumers
We accept no liability for downstream representations made by resellers.
